Amazon.comでCDや本を買うと、その後、Amazonが類似と解釈した「お前こういうの好きだろう」というCDや本の紹介が結構頻繁に到来し、正直うざい・・・
いずれも好きにさせてくれ、と言いたくなるのですが、You Tubeの方は、自分の知らない世界を開いてくれるというか、You Tubeが類似と判断した動画のうちから、音も聞いたことのないアーティストの動画を確認するようになりました。
Amazonの場合はほとんど無視しているのですが、ある日、懐かしのJ.D.Southerの名前が・・・最近はとんと、聞くことがありませんでした。
結局、紹介されたアルバム「Natural History」を購入してしまいました。
まあこんなアルバムを紹介してくれる時もあるのだから我慢してメールはチェックして行こうと・・・
Jackson Browneの晴海ライブの時に、David Lindley、Warren Zevon等と共に名前があったのを覚えていますので、生で見ているはずですが、全く記憶がありません。
イズミヤシゲルが乱入してきた時に「バケモノ、バケモノ！」とはしゃいでいたのはLindleyだったと思いますし・・・
ライブは77年だったらしい。35年前、28歳だったのか・・・
”Doolin Dalton”はEagles、Jackson BrowneとJDの共作で、アルバム『Desperado』に納められています。内容はDoolinとDaltonというギャングを歌った曲のようです。
