スティングは昔は聴いておらず、中古CDを購入して好きになったものですが、You Tubeでますます好きになりました。
Shape Of My Heartは映画「レオン」の主題歌。 しっとりして、好きな曲です。
以前から、上の動画は短いと感じていたのですが、歌詞を調べていたら、大分短縮版になっていることがわかりました。
改めて、You Yubeで確認すると、下のフルバージョン版動画がありました。（2014.07.09)
2010年10月にアップされて、すでになんと220万アクセスの超人気動画ですが、この曲の動画を探し回った時には気がつきませんでした・・・あるいはアップされるまえだったのかしら・・・
といいつつ・・・上記動画は閲覧不可とされました。代わりにStinb Official Videoを。
Stingは芸名というのかニックネームなのだそうです。本名はゴードン・マシュー・トーマス・サムナーって全然関係ない・・・

「ポリス結成以前のライブなどで、蜂を連想させる黄色と黒の縞の上着を愛用していたことからスティング（sting＝「ちくりと刺す」の意味）と呼ばれるようになった。」
さらに続けると・・
「1951年のイギリス生まれでベーシストとしてビッグバンドジャズでキャリアをスタート。
社会活動に関心を示し、宮崎シーガイアのCMソングを歌って、オープニングセレモニーに来た時にシーガイアの環境破壊が問題視されていることを記者会見の質問で知り、その後CMを降りた。」
Police時代の唄 も良いなと思うけど、Police時代は風貌のせいか鋭角的な切れ者のイメージで、近寄りがたい感じがします。
ソロになってからのライブを見ていると、歳のせいで丸くなったのかもしれませんが、周りの人間に気を使う優しくて大きい人と言う感じがします。どちらかと言うと、歳とって、さらに迫力を感じさせる風貌になって来たのにも係わらず、くしゃっと笑った笑い顔が人を惹きつけます。
ギターも良いです。
Policeの曲も・・・ 本当はスタジオ録音のソロのバージョンがあって、暖かくていいなと思ったのですが、貼りつけ禁止になっていました。
